Three steps. That is the whole app.

Add the people you share costs with, log every IOU or expense with proof attached, and always know who owes who.

1

Add your contacts

Family, friends, the small business you front-load supplies for. Each contact carries its own running balance and history.

2

Log every transaction with proof

Snap a receipt, attach a PDF, capture a signature. Every entry is stamped with a date and an attachment so it stays defensible.

3

Know who owes who, instantly

Your dashboard shows totals at a glance. Reports break down net flow and aging so nothing slips through the cracks.

Made for the awkward money moments

If you have ever lent money to family or split a bill three ways, this is the same record, with proof attached to every entry.

Family expenses

Track money you cover for relatives without awkward follow-up. Receipts and signatures on every entry, dated and stored in your private project.

Splitting bills

Roommates, group dinners, shared utilities. Log who paid what, settle up monthly without spreadsheet drama.

Freelance reimbursements

Client expense claims with photo receipts attached. Defensible records you can export as PDF and send when you invoice.

Customer accounts and supplier tabs

Customers with running tabs, suppliers you pay first. Per-contact balances and proof on every transaction so disputes never come down to memory.

Legal documentation

Signed acknowledgments, dated proof, and exportable PDFs ready for small claims, mediation, or any dispute that needs a paper trail.

Long-term family records

Years of family expenses, recurring contributions, and long-term records, all in one private place that stays yours forever.

Built for people who actually pay each other back

Not a payments app. Not a financial service. Just a clean, private record of shared expenses between people, with receipts.

Private by default

Your data stays in your own project. No one else can see what you log. Not us, not your contacts.

Proof on every entry

Attach photos, PDFs, or videos to every transaction. Capture signatures. Your record is defensible.

Yours to take with you

Export everything in one tap. Delete your account and it is all gone. No lock-in, ever.

Up and running in five minutes

No setup wizards, no bank linking, no permission grants you did not expect.

  1. 1

    Sign in with Google

One tap. No passwords to remember. Your data is tied to your Google identity and protected by Supabase row-level security from the moment you arrive.

  2. 2

Add the people you transact with

Tap + Contact. Type a name, optionally add a phone or avatar. Each contact gets its own running balance and complete history from the first transaction onward.

  3. 3

    Log a transaction with proof

Open any contact, tap + Transaction. Pick gave or received, enter the amount, attach a receipt photo, PDF, or short video. Capture a signature if you want it ironclad.

  4. 4

Watch your balances at a glance

The dashboard shows your net position. Reports break down weekly net flow, aging buckets, and category totals. Tap any contact for the full audit trail.

  5. 5

    Export anytime

Settings then Export gives you a ZIP with every contact, transaction, and attachment. Or generate a PDF receipt for any single transaction. No lock-in, ever.

Things Bexbox is not

A short list of what we do not do, so you know if Bexbox is the right tool for your situation.

x

Not a bank app

Bexbox does not move money. We do not integrate with bank accounts. We log what already happened, with proof.

x

Not a payments processor

No card tokens, no transfer rails. If you want to charge someone, use GCash, Maya, PayPal, or whatever fits.

x

Not a budgeting tool

We do not categorize your spending into groceries vs dining or set monthly budgets. Bexbox is for tracking what you owe and what you are owed.

x

Not tax software

Bexbox is a personal-use ledger. It is not designed to file returns. It can be a clean source of evidence if you do.

x

Not reported externally

Nothing you log is sent to outside services or third parties. Bexbox is private. Your records are visible only to you.

x

Not a shared ledger yet

For v1, only you see your records. Sharing with a counterparty in real time is on the roadmap for v2.

Your data. Not ours.

We use Supabase with row-level security and signed URLs. We do not sell data. We do not read your records.

Row-level security

Every query is scoped to your user ID at the database level. Other users cannot access your records.

Signed URLs for files

Attachments live in private buckets. Access requires a short-lived signed URL tied to your session.

Export anytime

Download all your transactions, contacts, and attachments as a ZIP from Settings at any time.

Delete is permanent

Delete your account and everything is gone. Database rows, files, profile. One tap, no waiting.

Coming in v2

Bexbox v1 ships with the core ledger, proof attachments, recurring transactions, multi-currency, push reminders, and the basic reports. v1.1 and v1.2 will follow with small UI polish and minor improvements based on early feedback. These are the bigger pieces we are working on for v2.

Payment pairing

Mark a received transaction as repayment of a specific gave-transaction so the ledger knows what is settled vs still outstanding. Unlocks the rest of the items below.

Collection rate

Headline number on Reports: of everything you have lent, how much has actually come back. Big card, single percentage.

Payment status split

Per-transaction state: Paid in full, Partial, Unpaid, Overdue. Surfaced as a segmented bar in Reports and as a chip on each transaction.

Repayment speed

Average days to repay, fastest payer, slowest payer. Useful when you are covering an expense for someone for the first time.

Contact risk badges

Tags like Overdue, High Risk, Slow Payer derived from each contact's payment history. Helps you decide whether to cover for them again.

Cash inflow forecast

Estimated incoming amounts this week and next month based on due dates of unsettled transactions. No AI - just simple sums of what is scheduled.

Health score

Composite 0-100 score for your overall ledger: how often you get paid back, how many entries are overdue, and how your activity is balanced across people, rolled into one premium-looking dial.

Shared ledger

Invite the other side of the transaction to confirm the entry. Both perspectives stay in sync; disputes are visible to both. Schema is already in place; the UI and realtime sync are the v2 work.

Common questions

If you have a question that is not here, email [email protected].

Is my data private?

Yes. Bexbox uses row-level security at the database. Your records are scoped to your user ID, and even our team cannot read them. Attachments live in private buckets accessed only via short-lived signed URLs.

Can I export everything?

Yes, anytime. Settings then Export gives you a ZIP with every contact, transaction, and attachment. You can also generate a PDF receipt for any single transaction.

What happens to my data if I cancel a subscription?

Your records stay. Cancelling drops your storage tier back to Free at 50 MB. New uploads beyond the free limit are blocked, but existing attachments remain accessible. You can re-subscribe anytime.

Does Bexbox work offline?

You can browse existing contacts and transactions. Adding new entries or syncing requires a connection.

What file types can I attach?

Photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC), PDFs, and short videos. Each attachment can be up to 50 MB.

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

The Free tier is unlimited in time. You only pay when you outgrow 50 MB of attachments and choose to upgrade.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Settings then Plan and storage then Manage in Play Store. Cancellation is one tap. You keep access until the end of your billing period.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, instantly. Settings then Delete account. Database rows, attachments, and profile are all removed. No waiting period, no recovery window.

What devices does Bexbox work on?

Android version 7 and up at launch. iOS is on the roadmap.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are processed through Google Play within their standard window. Email [email protected] if you have any issue and we will work with you.
